Q: I want to buy a Chinese Calendar Tale for each of my nieces and nephews for their Year of the Zodiac. Which books should I buy?
A: It’s great fun for kids (adults too!) to own a book about their own Zodiac animal! Just click on the Which Zodiac Animal Are You? bar on the right hand side of the Shop page to find out which year applies to which niece or nephew – and Bob’s your uncle! And if you can’t find a title to fit your needs (yes, we know, we have yet to publish books for the Dog and the Pig and we’re working on it) – or if you don’t know what Animal applies to your intended recipient – then The Tale of Pin Yin Panda is a perfect choice as it contains ALL of the animals in the Zodiac, and stickers too!

 

Q: Will the author sign my books?
A: We are happy to supply signed copies for a small extra charge. Just fill in the Option Box at the bottom of the page when you are ordering your book. Note that this may delay the shipment for a week or two if Sarah is away on tour.

 

Q: How do I buy books from this website?
A: Our online shop is operated by Paypal, but a Paypal account is not required. You can also pay with most credit cards, in a range of currencies. Just click on the book you want, then click on the Add to Cart button beside it to add it to your shopping cart. You can then browse for more books. Once you are ready to checkout, simply click on the shopping cart icon on the top menu. Your transaction will be securely handled by Paypal’s payment system, whether you pay by Paypal or by credit card.

 

Q: Where do you ship to, what does it cost and how long will it take?
A: For all shipping and returns questions, refer to the Shipping and Returns page.

 

Q: What if I want to send the book to somebody else?
A: If you want to send your order to an address which is different from your credit card billing address, you can fill out the Checkout page accordingly. Sometimes Paypal does not allow you to do this, so if you experience difficulties, put the order through to your normal billing address, and then reply to our confirmation email to let us know the different address you want to send it to.

 

Q: How do I order your books on trade terms?
A: If you are in Hong Kong, Singapore, China or Australia, please contact us for details of our distributors there. For all other countries, please contact us directly.

 

Q: Is there a discount for bulk purchases?
A: We offer good discounts for purchases of 20 or more books (and they make great party bag gifts). Please contact us directly with your requirements.

 

Q: Are you able to create customized editions?
A: Sure! We are happy to create customized editions for corporate customers. Contact us directly with your requirements. Production can take some months, so if you would like a customized edition to coincide with Chinese New Year, make sure to contact us at least 4 months in advance.

 

Q: How can I get in touch with Sarah Brennan or Harry Harrison?
A: Sarah and Harry love feedback from fans, and they also love talking to the press. So contact us at our email address and we will get you in touch.

 

Q: Can I use material from one of your titles in my performance/publication?
A:  If you are a school or a charity, and want to create a one-off performance based on one of our books, please contact us for permission. For publications, we are happy for you to quote short excerpts for legitimate “fair use” or review purposes.  For licensing and foreign translation rights, please contact us.

Shipping and Returns

We send our books by Hong Kong Post to just about everywhere in the world.

We send books FREE to addresses in Hong Kong, by standard post. For all other destinations, we send by registered airmail, with a tracking number. Please see our shipping and handling fees here.

Books usually take between 6 and 10 working days to reach customers in Europe, North America, Australia and South East Asia. If you wish to track your order, please drop us a line and we will trace your order.

When your package arrives by registered post, you will usually need to sign for it. If you are out when it is delivered, the local post service will usually leave a card for you, asking you to collect the package at your nearest post office.

If you do not collect the package within 28 days, or if the address is incorrect or incomplete, it will be returned to us. We are happy to resend to the right address, but we will have to charge you again for the postage. So please be careful to provide us with the correct address when you order! And make sure that you provide us with a phone number when you place your order, so that we can contact you if necessary.
